Attachment: Open Rhinoplasty – Dr. Andrew B. Denton, Vancouver, B.C.

Following open rhinoplasty, the base view – which is rarely seen in before and after photographs – demonstrates nicely the changes that have been made to the tip.*

Following open rhinoplasty, the base view (bottom of the nose) demonstrates shortening of the tip, improved symmetry of the tip, improved symmetry of the nostrils, straightening of the tip and a transformation to a more aesthetically pleasing triangular shape. The transcolummelar incision that is made at the beginning of the open rhinoplasty heals very well as is demonstrated in the second photograph.
